Once upon a time my daughter called me Mummy..once or twice. Then she called me Mom..a couple of times. Then I don’t know where this come from but one fine day she decided to called me Mai. Mai? I don’t understand it either. Now she only called me Mai.  Weird isn’t it? She’s two years old now.

She can say Daddy, Popo, Kung Kung , Baby and even the cat’s name which is Vickie! She can pronounce the word mummy but she just woudn’t call me that. I’m at my wits end trying to teach her to call me mummy. My Mom said don’t try to change her because it is kinda special and unique title for me. We never heard anyone calling their moms Mai. Have you?

Sigh..i wish she would just call me mummy. We at this shopping mall and she will went and called “Daddy..come” and turn to me and said “Mai..come”. People were looking at me and i can almost hear them thinking ” is that her child? “.

I ‘wiki’ed the word Mai and wow it is actually a word! This what i found on Wikipedia;

Maybe one day she will get tired of calling me Mai and start calling me Mummy..and when that day comes i will be a very proud and happy Mai..he he. Who am i kidding! She can call me Mai forever for all i care..it’s unique..he he.

Hello people of earth..for this past few weeks i’ve been neglacting my blog because i was pretty busy with my zen cart ‘project’ . Actually i still am. I had a add-on in my account which i almost forgot so why not register me a online ’shop’..well i did and i am so totally hooked on customizing it. I had a field day with the css & truth to be told i really enjoyed it.

So what is this zen cart you ask? Well it’s a shopping cart designed for online merchants ( that’s their exact words). It’s free and very easy to manage. So if you have something to sell and don’t want any 3rd party to earn from your sales (ahem..if you get what i mean *wink* ) just setup your own online kedai and sell them. But be warned, you have to maintain your cart..meaning stable internet line coz you need it to check emails i.e orders and payment.You also need to spend extra time on the net.

Did you say “I want! I want! I want! I want! ” ? Well it’s pretty easy to apply for one. 1st you need to sign up an account with a web hosting company and a domain. It goes hand in hand actually coz i see no point of having a account  and no domain kan? My websites are under Serverfreak company and they are very helpful. Once you choose a hosting plan that suit you best, you can then register for a domain (or you can do this 1st) and voila! You have your own Website. You can choose either to get a blog or a cart. Cannot both unless you sign up for a add-on domain. So this domains or websites will be under one account.

“How Much?” you asked. Well it’s different with each hosting plans. It is actually depends on how much disk space you want. For example serverfreak, their 4 hosting plans & annual subscription are- Prime ( RM60) , Supreme (RM100), Deluxe (RM180) and Elite (RM300). Unless you’re a big company, i think prime and supreme are pretty ok aready lor. It all depend on what you need. I chose Deluxe which allows me to have up to extra 4 addon domains. I have two. Why i need so many you asked. I hate to admit htis but i am so kiasu! Domain will be RM40.

Anyway..back to my cart , since i can’t afford to buy those premium zen cart template, i have to make do of the given template which is green (the horror!). Luckily zen cart provides free templates. You can customize them whichever you like and see fit. First thing i did was to changed the green color (original template) to red. At first when i looked at the stylesheet, the only thing i see was some kind of alien codes or gibberish. I was confused and really blur wor. Tried asking once but never get a reply so i just had to figure it out for myself..i’m no computer genius but it was easy.

I’m almost done with my cart. I just have to upload images (i have to take pictures first). I want to do my own header but i need a good pic which i don’t have at this moment. What am i selling? I am really hooked on this and it really excites me to bits when i got my hand on my craft supplies. Just like my daughter when she saw a disney mag she like.I just coudn’t wait to start on a new clay project. Will upload more pics.

My current interest right now is polymer clay. I have few hobby that needs my creativity but didn’t last long (mainly because the  lack of my -called creativity )..sigh. So today i want to show y’all what i’ve made so far. Feel free to email me your order..ha ha.

So far i like doing this although i can only do this at night or maybe an hour during the day. Gonna do more..need more ideas on designs..c’mon brain think something creative and easy to do. As you can see this are my very first creations so i still need to learn more. Basically how not to leave prints on clay..ke ke. Anyway tell me what you think. Be honest but not too brutal k’.
